Suranjana Ghosh and Ulf Johansson Verre.

This projects concern is to think beyond physical meeting-point between musicians of Western and Indian traditions towards a musical and conceptual meeting-point.

The Indian tabla master Suranjana Ghosh (now living in Sweden) and the Swedish piano- och trombone musician Ulf Johansson Werre present – together with the violin virtuoso from Cuba Santiago Jimenez and percussionist Jonas Landahl from Sweden – one crossover concert combined of a rich variety of music, from Indian rhytm and tango to jazz and folkmusic.

When tuneful Indian tabla beats meet South American tango or a Swedish folk melody – then something new is created, a starting-point of one exploration that will widens into a range of references to the world we live in.
